Ingredients :
1 1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
3 cups flaked coconut
Directions :
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, cream together the white sugar , butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add in the vanilla. Mix together the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and coconut. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
